lessons from the courts and ethical issues

The 2007 Winter Meeting took place on the 8th February at the home of the ADA, the offices of the Association of Anaesthetists in London. The focus was on ethics, case reports and the changing medico-legal climate in which we work. In addition to hearing from experts in the field there was ample time for discussion on the implications of current legislation on personal practice and professional governance.

Winter Meeting 2006

Substance Misuse, Meeting the Challenges

The 2006 Winter Meeting took place on the 28th January at the new home of the ADA, the offices of the Association of Anaesthetists. With subjects including the current issues surrounding substance misuse, help and strategies in place for persons with substance misuse, clinical implications for professionals, oral signs and symptoms and many others, the meeting was a very productive and enriching experience.

The meeting was accredited with 5 CEPD points from the Royal College of Anaesthetists and 5 CPDA points from the London Dental Deanery. It is hoped that presentations from the speakers will be made available on this website in the near future.

The Expert Patient in Dental Anaesthesia

The 2005 Winter Meeting proved to be a very successful and productive meeting. Held in London at the headquarters of the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland the programme boasted eight speakers including patient representatives and the presentation of two free papers. The meeting was accredited with 5 CEPD points by the Royal College of Anaesthetists and was eligible for CDP allowance from the London Dental Deanery.
